Why is what we do important?
According to the CDC in the years 2015-2016 approximately 50% of youth from ages 6 – 19 suffered from dental caries, approximately 15% of youth in this age range did not receive treatment.
Incidence of treated and untreated dental caries was found to have an inverse relationship with family income, with approximately 56% of children suffering from dental caries and more than 18% not receiving treatment for their dental caries among families at or below the federal poverty line.
